Terms of use
These terms apply to the Ring Bandit app for iPhone and iPad (the "app") and the website at ringbandit.com. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. "We", "us" and "our" mean the maker of Ring Bandit; you can reach us at [email protected].
1. Your licence to play
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own entertainment, as allowed by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the app, or use it for any unlawful purpose, except where the law allows this despite these terms.
2. Gold rings, hints and power-ups
- Gold rings, hints, X-Ray Goggles, Bolt Cutters, Bombs, stars and prizes are virtual items that exist only inside the game.
- They have no real-world value, can't be exchanged for money, and can't be transferred or sold.
- They're saved only on your device. Deleting the app, or a device being lost or reset, removes them, and we can't restore them.
- We may rebalance prices, rewards and levels in updates to keep the game fair and fun.
3. Purchases
The current version of the app has no real-money purchases. If in-app purchases are offered in the future, they will be sold and processed by Apple under Apple's terms, and refund requests go to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
4. Advertising
The current version has no ads. A future version may show ads. If it does, we'll update our privacy policy first, and any tracking will only happen with your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.
5. Our content
The app, its levels, artwork, sounds, characters, name and logo belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms don't give you any rights in them beyond the licence above.
6. Updates and availability
We may update, change or stop offering the app or any feature. We aim to keep your saved progress working across updates, but we can't guarantee it.
7. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be error-free or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of data or virtual items, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid for it, if any. This doesn't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be excluded by law.
9. Apple App Store terms
If you got the app from the Apple App Store:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. For support, contact us at ringbandit.com/support.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for any claims by you or any third party relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that it fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and consumer protection or privacy claims.
- If a third party claims the app or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If you keep using the app after that, the updated terms apply.
